Vidhana Soudha

The most Iconic architecture in Bangalore is the Vidhana Soudha the pillars of democracy in Karnataka. It was built in 1950's. With it classy fabulous design, it is still in use as the legislative assembly of Karnataka. 

Attara Kacheri (The High Court of Karnataka)

Another pillar of Democracy the house of Justice Attara Kacheri (The High Court of Karnataka) is another  Iconic architecture in Bangalore which are still in public use. It is situated opposite to Vidhana Soudha. It has Graeco-Roman styled design, built in 1868 , took 4 years to complete. Earlier it was used as office of Secretariat of the Government of Karnataka.

Hard Rock Café

Situated at the most happening place in Bangalore Hard Rock Café has vinatge look. It was built in 1912 and was British Book Society where Christian circulates the books and Bibles. After purchasing the building Hard Rock Café had promise to maintain the look. The building still have it's old classic look which looks great!

Cantonment Railway Station


Colonial history associated with Cantonment Railway Station where in British era, the first train Bangalore Mail, runs between the station and Jolarpettai in 1864.  It was the army cantonment for British, still have good amount of people comes to catch the trains. The architecture structures and the design reminds us of a bygone era.

Sheshadri Iyer Memorial Hall

Do you know Memorial Hall is one of the Bangalore’s oldest libraries? This  Iconic architecture in Bangalore was built in 1915 in the memory of Dewan of Mysore, Sheshadri Iyer. It is located in the Cubbon park and have over 2.65 lakhs books including rare volumes, and a dedicate Braille section. The library has been awarded with Raja Rammohan Roy Library Foundation Award for the best state central library in India in 2000.

State Archeological Museum

The Archeological Museum located to Cubbon park was Built in 1876 but the museum get established at the Cantonment’s jail building and functioned there until 1878. The museum have so many antiques items, coins, stones, statues etc. of of Mohenjo-Daro period and ancient periods. It is one of the oldest museums of India. Her you will able to find the one of the earliest Kannada inscription - the Halmidi inscription. Some of the items are date 5000 years old.
